There are several types of websites
Static html websites
These are still the most common, they are general web 1.0 style websites that do not get updated on a regular basis and are shown less love by the search engines.
Template Website
These are mostly static websites, many Real Estate and Note Investors buy these but they are fraught with problems. They typically all look the same but worse much worse they all have the same written content on them. Having a site that has the same content as 10,100 or more other sites is going to be a real problem for you, you will never be noticed by the search engines.
Content management websites
A website that is managed with a CMS “Content Management System” is the more modern approach to website design. They are easy to manage from any location on the globe. The website editing tool and website reside on the web server and not on an individuals computer. Common CMS systems include Drupal, dotNetNuke,Joomla and my favorite wordpress.
Blog (or weB Log)
This started out as simple online web journal but has turned into one of the best ways to get a website up and running and noticed in the search engines. There are many free blogs that you can easily set up from blogspot.com (owned by Google), wordpress.com, wetpaint.com, weebly.com and many many other. I personally recommend you go with a hosted wordpress blog as you control what goes on the website, i have know several people that have started blogs on blogger or wordpress that have had there blog shut down.
Squeeze Pages
Squeeze pages are either dedicated websites or pages of a bigger website that is specifically designed to gather information from a user such as name, email and telephone number. A good squeeze page will have a good hook, color and maybe a video designed to get the vaulable information from the website visitor.
What Types of website Should a Note Investor or Real Estate Investor have?
Note Investor Websites
- A branding website that helps identify yourbusiness
- A squeeze page to capture leads
- A Blog that you update on a regular basis
- Maybe a site to But Notes and Separate Site to Sell Notes ” You might combine these”
- A private Investor site to help raise money.
You might want to combine all the function into one website to start. There is significant evidence to suggest a targeted website performs/converts than a Jack of All Trades Website.
Real Estate Investor Websites
- A branding website that helps identify your business
- A squeeze page to capture leads
- A Blog that you update on a regular basis

I hope this helps.
