From US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts’ majority opinion on Obamacare: “Under my theory, the mandate is not a legal command to buy insurance. Rather, it makes going without insurance just another thing the government taxes, like buying gasoline or earning income.”
Can the Chief really be that dense? He really doesn’t see the difference between taxing something you buy or earn, and taxing NOT doing anything? Taxing you because you simply EXIST? And if you don’t pay the tax, you know what happens — first a fine, and if you don’t pay the fine, the govt. sends you to jail. You go to jail because you didn’t pay the federal tax on your existence.
