The New York Times just published an attack on 1031 tax-
deferred exchanges. Expect the Administration to call for
restrictions or even elimination. They are going after
as much revenue as possible.
As a former Congressional press secretary I can tell you
that the New York Times doesn't make publishing decisions
by accident. It's part of a campaign, very likely orchestrated
by the Obama Administration, to gin up the anti-1031 forces.
